FP-0094 Colt's-foot
Description: A large group of colt's-foot (Tussilago farfara) growing at the edge of a lake in Surrey in spring. The plant's habit of flowering before the leaves appear has given it the folk-name of 'son-before-father'. The dried leaves were smoked in pipes for the relief of asthma.
